Oakland: More than six weeks after a speaker’s boycott was called by the University of California’s largest employee union, AFSCME 3299, UC Berkeley agreed on Friday to offer nearly 100 of its subcontracted custodians and Parking Attendants direct employment with the university within the next 30 days.
