LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Protests are planned Thursday at University of California campuses statewide over rising executive compensation packages.

The planned protests follow revelations that outgoing U.C. President Mark Yudof would receive a $230,000 annual pension, after just five years of service.

Protestors want U.C. administrators to cut executive pay and pensions before considering any further tuition hikes, staffing cuts or reductions in workers benefits.

Students and staff are among those expected to take part in the protests.
