Regents Cannot Escape Faces of UC Poverty
At this month’s Regents meeting at UC Irvine, AFSCME members showed UC Regents at every turn that they cannot ignore the poverty that is being created by UC’s low wages! Regents were confronted by UC Service workers at their hotel, at dinner, and during campus tours, with reminders that our families will continue to suffer every day until they take the action necessary to resolve our contract.
