AFSCME Members Vote Yes to Create Strike Fund!
On March 9, 2006, AFSCME 3299 Members voted overwhelmingly for the Union’s new Strength for our Future program. Strength for Our Future creates our union’s first Strike Fund, improving our ability to Strike if necessary for a fair contract. In addition to increasing our power to improve our union contract, our vote sends a strong message that AFSCME members are ready to fight to fight UC’s attempts at drastic changes in our pensions and benefits.
