AFSCME is hosting a FREE online class for AFSCME members on Care in Times of Crisis: Strategies for Self and Community Care. The first in a series of webinars throughout July, this session will highlight practices for overcoming stress, setting boundaries and building collective well-being. You will come away with tools to provide support for yourself and your community in dealing with the unprecedented changes to our work and personal lives caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

During this workshop participants will:

  • Establish a shared understanding of self and community care and how our personal and collective well-being relate  
  • Identify self and community care practices for ourselves and our communities
  • Determine which areas of stress we can and cannot control
  • Recognize the importance of setting boundaries between work and home and develop a plan for setting those necessary boundaries
