2026 EXECUTIVE BOARD ELECTION

AFSCME Local 3299 is a democratic union that is run by and for members who work at the University of California. The Executive Board is our highest decision-making body and is elected every three (3) years.

All matters concerning nominations and elections shall be subject to the provisions of Article VI of the AFSCME 3299 Constitution as well as Appendix D of the AFSCME International Constitution. Click here to see the official election notice posted on September 1, 2026.

The following seats are unopposed:

  • Vice President for Patient Care: Monica Martinez
  • UC Law SF Board Member: Katharine (Katey) Mason
  • LBNL Board Member: Edward Wilson
  • UCI Board Members: Rosa Avalos, Edmar Duenas, Jose Gallardo, Bianca Magana, Teresa Ramos and Rocio Villalobos 
  • UCM Board Member: Ramon Lopez
  • UCR Board Members: Delvin Lucas and Jesse Hernandez
  • UCSB Board Members: Rosalva Alcala and Serafin Zamora
  • UCSC Board Members: Christopher Contreras and Ryan Lawler

What’s Next: 

  • Only AFSCME Local 3299 members can vote. If you are not a member and would like to vote in this election, click here to join, fill out the form, and become a 3299 member today!
  • All voting will be conducted electronically through our third-party vendor, ElectionBuddy. Electronic voting will begin on October 12, 2026, at 8:01 AM and will close on October 26, 2026, at 4:59 PM. 
  • Keep an eye on your mailbox AND email inbox.  
    • Eligible voters will receive your Unique Access Key and link in the mail, allowing you to securely and anonymously cast your vote starting October 12th, 2026.  
    • On October 12, eligible voters will receive an email from invitations@mail.electionbuddy.com titled “Vote now: AFSCME Local 3299 – 2026 Executive Board Elections.”
  • In-person assistance. Voting assistance sessions will be available for everyone on Wednesday, October 14th and Thursday, October 15th, at your local MedCenter and Campus. More details to come later. 
  • Results will be released once the election committee confirms them.
